Hey friends all over the world. Dr.
Kenan here. This is my first live video
of 2026
and I wanted to come to you quickly. Not
going to be here long. I got to go spend
some time with my family. But I wanted
to come and I wanted to share a word
of the Lord that the Lord gave me. Um
and it's a warning.
It's a warning word. And I want you to
go ahead and tag somebody and share this
with them. I'm going to keep this up as
long as I can possibly keep it up. Uh I
hope it's not taken down. But this is a
word of warning
to leaders. A word of warning to
leaders. And I don't care what
leadership role you occupy, but this is
a word that the Lord gave me
and I want to share it with you. And
it's this. Beware
of scorpions.
Or I could put it this way. Beware of
the scorpion.
Beware of the scorpion.
Beware of the scorpion. You say, "Pastor
Kenan,
what are you talking about?" Well, I'm
glad you asked.
In Deuteronomy 8:15, God uses this
terminology for the first time in the
Bible. And we know that Deuteronomy is
known as the second law. This is a
summarization
of the law of Moses given to them in the
book of Exodus. The children of
Israelite, the children of Israel had
613 laws that they were commanded to
follow. And within those laws, of
course, we know the ten commandments.
But in Deuteronomy, this is the last
book of the
um first five books of the Torah that
they are going to
um
that they are going to experience.
Okay, these are the first five books of
the Torah and they're about to go into
the promised land. And so this is the
end of the wilderness season. And God
reminds them in the book of Deuteronomy
8:15, he says, "Remember the Lord."
Remember, he says in Deuteronomy 8, uh,
verse 18, he tells, "Remember the Lord
thy God, for it is he that gives you the
power to get wealth." So, it's all about
remembrance. And Deuteronomy 8:15 3:es
earlier he says,"I brought you through
the wilderness
and I delivered you or I um I preserved
you through the place of fiery serpents
and scorpions."
So we see this term scorpion. Now
there's many other places in scripture
that we see this terminology. We see it
in the book of first kings. We see it in
the book of 2 Chronicles. We see it in
the book of Ezekiel. [snorts] Um, and
it's a prophetic picture of judgment.
Uh, we see it finally, not finally, we
see it in other places, but we see it in
Luke 10 verse 19. And God says, he says,
"Behold, I give unto you power or in the
original language, authority to tread on
serpents and scorpions." We see this
reference to Deuteronomy
chapter 8, serpents and scorpions. So
serpents and scorpions is prophetic
language that references demonic powers
that repres represents the demonic.
But God gave me some prophetic insight
that I wanted to share. Why does Jesus
tell us in Luke 10:19 that we would be
able to tread on serpents and scorpions?
I mean, why not just serpents? We can
understand, okay, serpent represents
deception. Serpent represents cunning. A
serpent represents witchcraft or
divination. So, it makes sense that we
would tread on serpents as it relates to
demonic powers. But, but he says
serpents and scorpions.
And the Lord said to me to tell the
people, "Beware of the scorpion."
Because unlike the serpent,
the scorpion does not have poison in his
mouth. Scorpion does not carry poison in
his mouth. The scorpion carries poison
in his tail.
which means that the only way for the
scorpion
is uh to to to wound you is behind the
back.
I need somebody to catch what I'm
saying.
Literally, without even any reference to
some sort of colloquial expression, the
scorpion is a backbiter.
It's a backbiting
spirit. He bites you from his back. It's
a backbiting
uh spirit. It it it's a spirit that
intends
to sting you serreptitiously.
So in other words, the scorpion
anatomically can be looking at your
face, smiling in your face, and with his
tail can stab you. Lord have mercy. Lord
have mercy. And so it's from the Greek
word scorpios.
Now, scorpions are interesting
creatures. They hide in walls. They hide
in the infrastructure
of a building.
It can hide inside of
a house within the walls of the house.
It can hide inside a garage.
Now, certain states
and cities tend to have a greater
proliferation of scorpions like uh that
they tend to find themselves in dry
weather like in Arizona. So, if you live
in Phoenix, Arizona, if you live in some
parts of California where the air is aid
or even some parts of Texas like San
Antonio, you'll see a lot of scorpions.
A lot of scorpions. Scorpions. But but
the Lord says and I need you to hear
this by the Holy Ghost. He says beware
of the scorpion.
And though this is going to be a season
of tremendous overflow for so many of
you, this is why you have to be mindful.
You have to take inventory because the
scorpion is the spirit of treachery.
It is a spirit. It is a treacherous
spirit.
It operates from a place of treachery.
And so this is that spirit that will
tell you how amazing you are and tell
you that you are the most anointed
person they have ever seen. And man, I
if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be
here. And man, your your ministry
changed my life. Your leadership uh
changed my my family. and and they will
they will offer flattering words. But
remember, let's look at the anatomy of a
scorpion. Ana a scorpion
can
can eat with his mouth or even have his
mouth facing someone. And so there can
be something coming out of the mouth
that doesn't match what's in the tail.
I need some witnesses. There can be
something that comes out of the mouth of
the scorpion that doesn't match what's
in his tail because he doesn't have any
poison in his mouth. The only thing in
his mouth is flattery. The only thing in
his mouth is
agilation.
Congratulations.
That's in the mouth of the scorpion. But
in the tail is deadly, venomous [snorts]
poison that will destroy you. And so the
Lord is saying because sometimes
beloved, what we're going through is not
warfare as it were, but what it is, it
is the consequences of our negligence.
I appreciate who you are, but I need to
see what's behind your back. Tell your
neighbor, I need to see what's behind
your back.
What's behind you? What are you carrying
in your tail? What? Listen, some people
don't recognize
that they have succumbed to the spirit
of the scorpion because remember the
scorpion is a master of camouflage. He
is a master of concealment.
He is a master
of deception.
Are you hearing this?
And so the scorpion spirit, cuz I
remember
in ministry, when I first got into
ministry, that's when I became
acquainted with the plague of
double-mindedness. I didn't understand
double-mindedness until I became a
pastor.
And then I began to see because
sometimes people say, "Well, man, these
people are deceptive or churches and all
this." But the truth of the matter is
this. Sometimes people don't know the
type of poison they carry because poison
often hides inside of people's trauma.
Poison hides
within a person's trauma. I need some
help by the Holy Ghost. Poison hides
within a person's trauma.
And when you have traumatic people
or traumatized people who have not gone
through healing and they've not gone
through gone through deliverance,
they've not gone through uh inner
healing and they've not allowed the Lord
to
process them through their pain. They
can accumulate poison.
And this poison can hide within their
spiritual anatomy. You don't see it when
you first meet them. I need some
witnesses. It doesn't show up when you
first engage with them. It doesn't it it
it it doesn't come at the onset of the
relationship,
but it's attached
to their back.
It's attached to their back.
And so the scorpion will say stuff like,
"Well, I'm no, I'm I'm fine. You didn't
offend me." No, no, no, no. You You're
good. You're totally good. But as soon
as they turn around,
the soon as as soon as they turn their
back, you begin to see the poison at
work. As soon as they make a 180, you
see, come on, somebody. That pinser,
that that that
tail
uh with the poison inside of it, you
begin to see that weapon.
And so the Lord says that we have
authority.
He says this in Genesis, I'm sorry, in
uh Luke 10:1 19, he says, "Behold, I
give you power to tread on serpents and
scorpions.
Serpents
and scorpions.
I declare that the Lord will deliver you
from the scorpion in 2026. that he will
deliver you from the deceit and the
poison
inside of the tail of the scorpion. That
you will not be deceived by fair speech
and smooth words and agilation
and flattery and praise, but that you
would have a discerning of spirits to be
able to examine. See, in this season,
glory be to God, you're going to have to
examine the spiritual anatomy of the
people around you. You're going to have
to be able to examine the spiritual
anatomy of the people around you. Yes, I
know you speak in tongues, but I need to
see your tail. I talking about in a in a
in a weird way. Don't get weird with
this allegory. It's an allegory. No, I
know you you were on the Come on,
somebody. the usher board. I know you
were a deacon. I know you were an elder.
I know you were a bishop and I know you
were on the praise team and I know you
were a worship leader, but I need to
understand what's going on. I need to I
need to understand what you're carrying.
Glory be to God. Stop letting everything
and everyone into your inner circle.
Sometimes there are scorpions.
Sometimes
there are scorpions and they are
dangerous. And so may the Lord deliver
you from that spirit, that backstabbing
spirit, that treachery,
that spiritual deception hidden beneath
flattery, where they tell you fair
words, but in their heart there's
poison. Where they tell you that you're
amazing, but in their heart they're full
of jealousy. May the Lord deliver you
from that Luciferian
spirit.
Yes, think about it. Lucifer was in
heaven and he was singing and he was he
was leading worship, but there was
iniquity in his heart. And so may the
Holy Ghost grant you discernment in this
hour to deliver you from the spirit of
the scorpion. Right away you can decree
and declare spirit of God is going to
touch you. Every closed doors a door of
opportunity opens by the favor of God
right away. I am the head and not the
tail above and not the beneath.
Hallelujah. Delay is broken. Divine
timing is activated in my life right
away. I just want to decree and declare
the joy of the Lord is my strength. Fear
has not hold on me right away. I just
want to decree and declare spirit of God
is going to touch each and every single
person right away.
No bring your personal needs to the
Lord.
Speak them quietly where you are. He
