>> I I'm great. This is a good time for us
to do this talk because today is Friday,
October 3rd, and it is what is this
10:00? It's 4:00 on the East Coast,
10:00 a.m. in Hawaii. Bitcoin hit 123.
It was it's like 1225
right now. XRP is 304 I think
>> something like that. It's been going up
and down over the last uh we'll say 12
hours or so.
>> Red September is over and it's time for
hot October. We think
>> thank goodness for that. I mean I've
been waiting for a long time for this.
It's just been like we've been dragging
and dragging and dragging. Now all of a
sudden we're getting uh we're getting a
bit of a pumptober, you know.
>> Yeah. I think it's going to be good. I I
we think it's we think it's going to be
good. So, you're kind of a I hold quite
a bit of XRP, but I'm not I guess what
you would call an XRP maximalist. I also
have Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, a few
others.
>> Uh Sue, but I've I've held XRP for years
and years and years. I bought mine at
like 30 cents, 27 cents.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I mean it's a it's a
great uh crypto obviously. I mean
there's a huge community surrounding it
and it's got a lot of potential. Ripple
is doing great things. Um but same with
me. I mean you know I talk about XRP on
the channel a lot but I do also hold
some other some other coins including
Bitcoin uh Salena uh Vchain uh Algarand
uh and a few others. So yeah. Yeah. I'm
really excited uh to see what happens
throughout the rest of the month moving
into uh you know the rest of quarter 4.

the message that we're going to be
pushing is don't be a victim. There are
a lot of people that have doom and gloom
like oh the world the financial system
is in turmoil. It's going to be a crash.
The new world order is taking over.
They're going to digital currency is
going to be a tracking mechanism for
utter control. And our message is, hey,
this is an opportunity to make your life
really comfortable. This is going to be
the a huge transfer of wealth and
specifically to younger people like uh
Gen Z who are portrayed as having a
sense of helplessness like oh we we
we're never going to get ahead in the
world. We we'll never afford a home. No,
you're you're at the cusp of
a lot of baby boomers are going to get
crushed. A lot of their money is going
to go into cryptocurrency. So, it's a
chance for younger generations.
Three bucks for uh XRP is a deal. Get
some of it now.
>> Yeah. I mean, I think for the long term,
I think you're absolutely right. There's
going to be a lot of opportunity in the
space. there's there's a lot of new
projects that are being uh created right
now that uh you know a lot of people can
you know start to think about in terms
of well where's the value going to be
what tokens are going to be of value uh
obviously XRP is one of them um and
what's that looking like for the future
and you know what coin should we be
paying attention to you know uh for for
the future of finance and and not just
finance everything tokenization uh as
they say you know everything's going to
be tokenized and I think that kind of
ties into a little bit of the doom and
gloom right? Own nothing and you'll be
happy.
>> Yeah.
>> And if everything's tokenized, then you
won't own the gold bar anymore. It'll be
tokenized on the blockchains. Just as
one example. Um but yeah, I think you're
right though. There are there is going
to be a lot of opportunity as well.
Speaking of gold, I was just talking
with our analyst Marty Hibbs uh two days
ago and gold hit all-time high and he
holds some gold. So, he was going to try
to cash in some of his gold, and it was
very difficult. He went to the bank and
said, "Hey, I've got this pile of gold.
Can I take a loan out with the gold as
collateral?" The bank said, "No, we
don't do that. We're not interested in
that." He tried to sell his gold to a
local uh metals dealer in uh this would
have been I think Toronto and the metal
dealer was going no we're not buying any
right now. If you if you have a million
dollars worth of gold and you go to sell
it, you're going to have to go to Kitco
or one of the main exchanges, you're
going to have to ship it. you're going
to have to pay uh insurance
and they're not going to give you the
spot price. They're going to give you
like 20% less. My point is if you've got
a million dollars worth of Bitcoin, you
can go click click click sell it like
that. You're going to pay 3% to the
three and a half to the broker.
>> Yeah. There's always somebody looking to
uh to buy the crypto. I guess I I'm
curious, you know, will that be the case
moving forward? It's really exciting.
It's an exciting space to be in right
now because a lot of people are still
kind of like, "Oh, what is this thing?"
You know, how do we uh how do we buy it?
How do we sell it? I still think there's
a bit of a mystique surrounding
cryptocurrency. Um, and you know, gold
is is is uh it's been around for
thousands of years. So, but I mean it's
interesting though that that these
exchanges would refuse to buy. So, so
you're saying is they're only interested
in buying when they when the time's
appropriate for them and and if you have
gold, they're not willing to buy or was
it the quantity that they were not
willing to take on?
>> Yeah. Well, my personal experience was
uh when COVID hit and I was trying to
liquidate some silver. So, there was one
silver dealer listed in Honolulu. So,
I'm I'm carrying, you know, bar bags of
silver to my car and I go to his shop
and I said, "Well, I got all this
silver." And he goes, "Man, I don't need
any more silver. I really," and he goes,
"I recognize you because you were on
TV." He goes, "I'll I'll buy it at at"
and he gave me like way below spot
price. So, it's it's not as easy
as you would think. Hm.
>> So I mean
>> I just don't think the Okay, gold and
silver have been uh valued as a sto as
money for like 4,000 years. That's the
saying like, okay, gold has been money
for 4,000 years, but it's not 4,000
years ago. This is 2025 and we're going
to a digital economy. you you want
things that are happen lightning fast
and transferring pallets of gold and
silver around. I mean, I'm not bad
mouthing silver and gold. I have some.
>> No, no, of course. I mean, it's it's I
think it's a good hedge still. I mean,
could be the quantity. I mean, I don't
know. Like,
>> I know somebody who uh travels across
the border from Canada to the US every
winter and what he does is he'll take
just a gold coin across the border and
that is his spending money for the
winter.
So, you know, maybe to unload it slowly
um you know, and and you know, then you
have a few thousand bucks to spend over,
you know, few months and uh you know,
for some people that that might be an
option. I guess uh he's been he's been
accumulating over a long period of time.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh I don't know. I guess everybody's in
a different in it for different reasons.
>> Having having had gold for uh Oh, man.
And I've I've had it I'm old so like
since the 1990s
I look at it as a 1 ounce of gold would
always buy you a ticket from Hawaii to
Asia. Like if I was going from Honolulu
to Bangkok and gold was 500 an ounce, a
ticket was $500 and then the ticket
raised to like $800 and gold was worth
800 and then the ticket went to $1,200
and a ounce of gold was 1,200. Now you
can get a first class ticket for an
ounce of gold like 4,000.
>> That's an interesting Yeah. the the
price of the airline ticket didn't
change. The value of the gold didn't
change. Gold airline ticket, same value.
The value of the dollar dropped.
>> Yeah, that's an interesting dollar.
>> That's an interesting correlation. What
do you think um how do you think XRP is
going to look in the coming years when
it comes to, you know, it being utilized
in a more kind of I want to say
meaningful capacity? Because right now I
feel like, you know, XRP is it's kind
of, you know, it everybody's
anticipating for this thing to break out
and for it to really kind of be adopted
really fast. Um, I know banks are kind
of start are going to be starting with
it. There are already some companies
around the world, financial institutions
is smaller smaller companies that are
using it, but you know, we're all kind
of waiting for this thing to to to blast
off and to kind of be at scale. But and
so what do you think? How do you think
that'll look
>> or how could it look? I mean, I don't
know. I mean, we can we can even just
theorize about it.
>> Well, we need to get into the
controversy over ISO 222 when we're
talking about that. And there's two
things that we need to talk about. Is
XRP actually ISO 222
compliant? And we'll get to that. And
the other thing would be what is ISO the
international standards organization. I
was reading a really interesting book
about it. The the title of the book was
called the box and it was about
containers. It was a really interesting
book an entire book about shipping
containers and how they were uh
developed designed and adopted. So at
the end of World War II, you had uh
shipping companies would have boats of
ships of various sizes and they had
steadors, dock workers who would load
pallets onto the boat. So a boat would
come up and it would take like the
better part of a week to load all the
cargo on. And in the meantime, the
organized crime could steal part of it
and it was just cumbersome to they had
to know how to pack all this stuff on.
And then they'd unpack it and they'd put
it on trucks and trains. And somebody
came up with an idea. Hey, we need one
container that's the same size worldwide
that cranes, all the cranes can adopt to
that. All the trucks, you can put the
box on the truck and put it in modal on
on trains. And what came up with the
dimensions of that was the ISO, the
International Standards Organization. So
the reason I'm telling this story is
because those who knew that was coming,
those who knew that the ISO was going to
design this box could go build ports in
Inchan Korea, in in China, in Long
Beach,
wherever uh Germany with the same type
of cranes, the same type of and they
could build containers ships. This made
billions and billions of dollars just
for those who knew that the ISO was
going to have that dimension of that
box. So jump ahead to cryptocurrency.
>> The new financial system is going to run
on the rails of ISO 222 compliant. It's
the Swift system when you
send money bankto bank was designed in
1973. It's outdated. It's old. and
they're switching in November, next
month, to ISO 222. So, here's the
question, Derek. Is
XRP compliant
or is it just the Ripple network and XRP
is part of that? Because
are are you up to date on that?
>> I mean, you know, I I I
Ripple was one of the first companies to
become ISO 2022 compliant. I remember
when we first heard of ISO 2022. So,
I've been doing my channel since 2018
and I believe it was sometime in 2019
that I heard Ripple now ISO 2022
compliant and I don't know if that was
one of their products. I I it's evading
me at the moment. I don't I don't quite
remember uh if it was one of their
XCurren or XV or XRapid products. Um,
but I mean because the uh the XRP
cryptocurrency runs on the network, it's
almost kind of one and the same. I mean,
if they're ISO 2022 compliant, the coin
that's going to be running on these
networks is I mean, it's going to be
utilized in a more meaningful capacity
than than any other cryptocurrency.
Right. So, yeah, I I I've I've been
hearing uh some things too about from
some other um some other research that
I've done where there's no such thing as
an ISO 2022 compliant coin. However, I
feel like I heard David Schwarz uh CTO,
former CTO now because he just stepped
down at Ripple say that uh XRP is in
fact a 20 or maybe he wasn't talking
about XRP, but I think he was talking
about coins specifically. Maybe he was I
I I'm just remembering bits and pieces.
I mean, I do shows every day and so it's
it comes and goes, right? Sometimes I
have to refer back to my notes, but uh
that he did say that there were coins
that are ISO 2022 compatible.
>> My understanding is it's the network and
XRP is part of a network that
>> Yeah,
>> I I've heard that credit card companies
are already using XRP in the background.
>> Yeah, some some have been uh there have
been murmurings of that. Uh well, we
know uh Ripple and uh sorry, Visa and
Mastercard both have partnerships with
Ripple and so does American Express if
I'm not mistaken. Um so I mean they um
Visa bought Earthport back in 201 19
2020 and they're uh they are uh Ripple
compatible and I believe Mastercard just
recently with I think within the last
two years or so just uh did some big
partnership that was uh that included
Ripple as well. So, they're all kind of
dabbling, I've noticed, and they're all
kind of trying to find what that
>> what that is. I think for Ripple, it's
not so much
>> Ripple realizes how, you know, that that
a lot of these companies now, I mean, in
the early days, not so much, but they're
realizing these days, a lot of these
companies want to work with them because
they are the cutting edge for DT
technology in this space. They do have
the partnerships with the central banks.
>> They do have um uh you know, all the all
the other partnerships with all these
other smaller players. So uh and the
interconnectivity I think is also going
to be uh what's really important the
interoperability uh with ripple and
swift or ripple with whoever right
>> so yeah it's all it's all going to come
together and it's going to I think it's
going to be cobbled together but uh
it'll all end up working I think on some
kind of level
>> our view at future forecasting group is
that the world is administered
uh by very powerful forces that have
administered the world throughout
history that have contracts and
covenants and it's a well-run machine
and that okay how can I say this the um
they have been waiting for technology to
advance to the point where they can
tokenize everything and that
>> blockchain technology was put out into
the uh world of developers,
computer geeks, intelligent people, and
just let them okay, develop this, like
sit back and let it happen.
>> So, it's planned, but it seems organic,
and that XRP is an important part of
that. So, I've heard some anti-XRP
people, well, it's the banker, you know,
with these evil bankers. It's like
>> there's a lot of those people out there,
though. That's, you know, that's the
thing. You know, they have an incentive
to kind of make sure that XRP doesn't do
well because whatever their coin is, or
if they're a Bitcoin maximalist, let's
say, that's that's the most popular kind
of group that that badmounts XRP.
>> Uh, you know, if if money goes into XRP,
because I mean, quite frankly, if you're
looking at the charts and and you see,
oh, wow, look, XRP's gone up 800% since
the beginning of 2025, and you're
looking at Bitcoin and, oh, well,
Bitcoin's only gone up 125%. I'm just
throwing numbers out out there. I don't
know what the numbers are, but um you
know, people will look at that and
they'll be like, well, I would rather
invest in the coin that's doing well,
obviously. So, they have an incentive to
try to uh you know, make it sound like,
oh, this this coin's a crap coin or
whatever, right?
>> My view is that
Bitcoin will not be the the token will
not be the the the method of everyday
transmission of commerce. It's going to
be It's going to be a treasury asset. So
there can only be 21 million of them and
that's going to be you stored away and
most of the transactions at some point
will become private. The world needs to
run on a day-to-day basis. There's
trillions of dollars that goes back and
forth between banks. And I think XRP is
going to be one of the main players in
that. We see XRP going uh $7 I think in
this run and that's that's conservative
and that that comes from our analyst
Marty Hibbs who I've been watching for
five and a half years now and he's very
very accurate. So you comfortable with
that seven bucks?
>> I could I could definitely see that. I
could that's a conservative estimate. Uh
I think
>> maybe $9.
>> I mean it could go as high as I mean it
could even go as high as 13 14. Um, it
really does depend, uh, I think on a lot
of other factors. A lot of people
want to know my views on this. I do talk
about it at my, uh, on my Patreon more.
Um, but yeah, like, you know, we've been
waiting for so long. The SEC lawsuit was
kind of dragging and that had hindered
XRP in the last bull run. uh we could
have gotten up to those prices probably
in 2021 if uh you know all things were
were set up for XRP to really kind of um
run out of the gate you know without any
hindrances but uh you know this time
around it is it is different for XRP
specifically and um you know in terms of
those price targets yeah I think $7 um I
think that's doable conservative yeah I
think it's doable I think we have to see
what Bitcoin does I mean Bitcoin's
always the leader right so Bitcoin leads
we see how much
>> you know we we also see the other
factors like what what are the um what
are the ETFs going to are they going to
help are we going to see a runup before
they're launched like what's that going
to look like right so there's so many
factors that are going to play into XRP
price specifically I think
>> um okay so 7 to $9 could be 13 that's
this initial bull run that's not that's
not looking out a few years
>> no no
>> uh I'd like I'd like to see $90 Ripple
$100 $100 Ripple and beyond.
>> Yes.
>> Yes. 100%. 100%. I'd love to see that
kind of a thing.
>> We're not and I don't think you do this
either. Like there are a lot of ch My
wife watches a lot of Korean YouTubers
uh crypto YouTubers and she'll be on her
iPad. She go look XRP is going to go to
$10,000 or look XRP is going to be
higher than Bitcoin. I go no no no
settle down. You really have to, you
know, this is the thing with with these
um with these price predictions. I talk
about people's opinions about these
price predictions on my channel. I'm
never one to come out there and say XRP
is definitely going to $10,000, you
know. Um but I do like to think about
why people are saying this. Like is what
is is the reasoning make sense? And even
if it's for like the long term, it's
okay to think this way, but you got to
you know, it's got to make sense in some
way, shape, or form. if it's a
projection for the next 10, 15, 20 years
even, I don't know. Right. Um,
>> well, yeah, I know a guy that we have a
little crypto club that gets together
every couple months and we talk about
things and there's a guy I know that
bought Ethereum at 37.
Wow. So, there was a day when you were
paying 37 cents for Ethereum and someone
was saying this could go to like $4,000
and you
>> Well, that's over the that's pie in the
sky over the horizon, but it did.
>> So, yeah, I know. And it's it's been
surprising like a lot of a lot of coins
have have been really surprising. Uh,
I'm actually quite surprised on how well
Dogecoin has done considering it's
there's no real reason why it's doing,
you know, it doesn't have any joke and
now it's not a joke. Well, you want to
know what Dogecoin why it went up so
high? This is my the information I'm
getting is that it was a money
laundering thing.
>> Oh, I never heard this theory. Tell me
tell me more.
>> Okay. Well, if you uh if you have a lot
of money that you made like maybe in
Bitcoin or maybe even illicitly, you can
you and your criminal buddies dump it
into a a uh a memecoin, drive that thing
up, take your money out, and that's a
that's a way to launder money.
>> Interesting. And it was created for that
even. So, you know, people were probably
making a lot of money off Bitcoin and
and some other cryptos or I mean, yeah,
who knows? Maybe even illicitly. And and
to be able to kind of
spread it around and and make sure
nobody's paying attention.
>> Yeah.
>> That brings us that brings us to the
idea of compliance. And there's I've got
bad news. Bad news for people.
>> Oh, what?
>> You got to report your cryptos. I I know
some people that
>> well, we've heard of people that
thought, well, Bitcoin is it's outside
of the banking system. It's private.
It's peer-to-peer. I'm just going to use
that and I won't report it.
It's uh 2026 is the time when the
exchanges and even the brokers are going
to have to account for they're going to
make you say where you got your cryptos,
where that money came from. I heard of
one guy that had u
a broker that he thought was private in
another country and was trying to wire
crypto earnings to a bank. And the bank
said, "Where did all this money come
from?" He was cryptocurrency. And the
bank said, "Well, we're going to need
you to report where you got that and
where the money came from." So, there
are new compliance laws. You know what I
just did, Derek? And this was God. I I
we have an accountant that works with
us, and I I want to be clean because I'm
in the public eye.
>> Sure.
>> So, he said, "Okay, we're going to we're
going to count for all your crypto
assets." And I'd been buying stuff since
2018 and I had 15 wallets and three ex,
you know, all over the place. I was so I
didn't want to put it in one place. I
thought I, you know, if one fails. So,
I've got wallets over the place. He
said, "Okay, make a spreadsheet and make
uh put every address of all your cryptos
in the spreadsheet and give it to me and
we give it to a guy who'll track it
all." And I was like, I don't know if I
want to do that.
>> Yeah, right.
>> And I'm going, I do I He goes, you want
to do that so that you can be compliant?
And I go, okay. And so I go, this is
going to take me days. And my wife and I
got out our wallets and we're like
copying addresses, put them, it took me
two days, put it in an Excel
spreadsheet, gave it to our accountant.
He went to a guy that there are
specialists that that can track all
this. I've now got all my cryptos
accounted for so that if the IRS or any
uh auditing agency came to me, I can
There it is. It's all right there. But
you're going to want to have to do that
because it's all on a ledger.
>> Yeah.
>> It's all it's all available. You you
can't hide it. They're they're going to
make you whitelist your wallet.
>> Yeah. You might want to get an affiliate

particular cycle because now this has
been the third cycle I'm I've been in
>> and um you know you learn a little you
learn a little bit more every single
time. So, I'm using I'm I'm pretty much
just being transparent. I'm being open
with with what I'm doing and where my
targets are going to be and where I'm
buying, where I'm selling, you know, and
all the coins I have, all that stuff.
And and other investments, too, that I
that I have. Um, you know, just kind of
talking to to people one-on-one. They
can ask me questions directly in my DMs.
I do hold live events once a month. So,
it's a bit of a a bit of everything. um
more than the than the actual uh than
the YouTube channel is alone, which is
more um you know, news and uh you know,
you've seen the channel, so you know
what that is.

if I go a few days without doing a
YouTube, God, I need to do a YouTube.
And there's some days like right now
I've got like three topics to do and
it's like okay I've got topics for my
next four days and then some some weeks
I get up and go do I have anything to

>> yeah sometimes I mean there's yeah I
know it's it feels like sometimes
there's more than other days but uh you
know I I think the community is so
enthusiastic they they want to know
about everything crypto you know whether
it's XRP related or whether it's you
know even just like what you're talking
about that's that service sounds super
interesting where you can um you know
figure out where all your crypto has
been so that you can um you know keep it
in a spreadsheet for the for the tax man
later down the road. what you don't want
to do is take a bunch of money out. Um,
there were people that thought they were
going to be really clever and there were
people advising this on the internet uh
doing what they called a personal uh
private management organization or
personal management organization. You
make a trust or an LLC and then you just
don't report that. you know, you you can
put your crypto that it and that worked
in the past like you could get away with
that, but that is not going to be
possible. Uh
>> interesting. You know, I did a video
today uh discussing one gentleman's
opinion about that and I think he was
suggesting that one create an LLC and
you know, keep your crypto. I I didn't I
don't know if he said not to report
anything. I I wasn't quite sure on the
I'm not quite sure on on the details.
But it's interesting you mentioned that
because I was just talking about LLC's
today.
>> They would say things Yeah.
>> They would say things like,
>> "Well, if the IRS
thinks uh you owe them money, they'll
let you know."
>> Okay.
>> What about that?
Well, um I'm I'm telling you that
2026 is going to be the year of
compliance where you're going to have to
you're not going to get away with it's
like
what I do is I don't trade. I I don't
trade and I do long-term capital gains.
So I put money in 2018, 2019, 2020. when
I take it now out now, I I paid
long-term capital gains. So,
>> it's
>> Yeah, that's the same with me. A a lot
of my strategy has been based on that.
Um I I would like to do some more swing
trading in the future, maybe for this
next cycle. So, for the Patreon
subscribers, I think we're going to
approach this next cycle a little
differently once this cycle's done. And,
you know, we're going to take a look at
cycle trends and impulsive moves and
we're going to we're going to do a
little bit more trading. We want to beef
up that portfolio a little bit more. So,
uh, yeah, I mean, I guess there's
different approaches, but, uh, I was I
was taking the same approach as you this
these past six, seven years. So, people
want to hear where where's it going?
Where's it going? We think Bitcoin is
going to before Christmas hit
140 to 150. When hit Bitcoin hits 140 to
150, a lot of that money will come out,
go into alts, and that's when our XRP
will go 7 to9.
and it may all outperform that. So, we
think there's we think the bull run was
delayed a little bit like September was
down but it was consolidating. That
means the run is going to last a little
longer. May have a huge pump uh drop
back down in
end of January
and then uh pump again February and
March.
>> Interesting. Yeah. I mean, I'm I'm all
I'm I'm with you in terms of the first
part of that. I don't know what 2026 is
looking like yet. I I still think
they're
>> It's too far out. It's too far out to
say with any confidence.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I But but I but I like what
you're I like how you're thinking about
Bitcoin. I like I like the price
targets. I like um the timeline. Um I'm
in agreement with all that.
>> Yeah. So, we just Let's talk a little
woo woo. We we do uh what's called
remote viewing which is a uh skill
developed by the US military and we have
four really good remote viewers. So we
were given a blind tasking
uh two weeks ago.
>> They gave us a target ID Jay and I did
this on my YouTube channel. I did a live
performance of this remote viewing. I
videotaped it and put it out without
knowing what the target was. So they
tell me it's J6
A9-
M0B9.
That's just random letters and numbers
that they generate with a random letter
generator number generator. Then
somebody we
trust that's a targeteer takes that uh
A6 or J6 A9 M0 B9 and he associates that
with a target what something they want
to know about something that we're going
to perceive and describe. And so I did a
I did a session on this and I said okay
I'm being psychic. I see men in a
meeting and I said I see this uh looks
like a puzzle and I I drew it
interlocking pieces. I go that could be
a map. If that's a map it's Europe.
>> And then I said there's a precipitating
event where there's a crash. This is a
financial thing. And we described the
switch over from an old system to a new
digital system. and all all of us had
corroborating data about
a uh form of stable coin coming online.
It's a fascinating uh session and you
can go to the target was the death of
the euro. The target we were looking at
is how is the euro going to be switched
to a central bank digital currency and
we described that just having that
target ID. It's a really fascinating
session.
>> Very cool. Is that on is that on your
website?
>> Yeah, it's it just published today
actually on October 3rd. So, it's there.
And you you can see my full session for
free on my YouTube channel called uh
remote viewing without a net because I
>> I thought, okay, people don't believe
this if you show it after the fact. I
said, "Nobody knows what this target is,
and I'm going to I'm going to do 30
minutes of me describing it." And so I
put it up, and then we got the feedback,
and I I had pretty good data. So that's
a mixture of what what we do. Um
>> I used I used my intuition to pick uh
cryptos without knowing anything about
them. Back in 2018, I was the most
clueless person.
I that I did a that was my YouTube uh
channel in the early days was Dick
trying to figure out cryptos like there
were no exchanges and I was going buying
privately at coffee shops like I'd go
with an envelope full of money
>> and and somebody would just hand you a
QR code or something be like here.
>> Yeah. I'd take I'd take I'd take my
laptop and I'd meet the person and I'd
say okay I'm a I'm an elderly howley
Caucasian man with a mustache. I'll be
there with a computer and some Chinese
lady would come up. Are you dick? Yeah.
Okay. I'm you know and I and I'd go,
"Okay." I hand her an envelope and we
we're doing this in a public place so
there's security cameras cuz So I don't
rip her off. She doesn't rip me off. So
I hand her a manila envelope with $100
bills. She's like counting
>> $16,000
for a bitcoin. And then she goes,
"Okay." And then she transmits it to my
uh laptop. But I go, "Okay." I go,
"We'll tomorrow." And then then I
finally see the exchanges didn't work in
Hawaii. They wouldn't they weren't
allowed to do business.
>> That's interesting. Why was that? What's
the reasoning behind that?
>> Because Hawaii
uh legislators
were really anti-crypto. They were like,
"Oh, if you're a crypto exchange and you
do business in Hawaii, we require you to
have the amount of dollars
in US dollars that you're transmitting
in cryptos. So, if they're going to do
$100,000 worth of crypto, they have to
have h 100,000 in the bank." And the the
exchanges were going, "You don't
understand this. This is they weren't
allowed to do." So I was I went on
Coinbase early on and said, "Okay,
Richard Algyer and put in my address and
Coinbase said, "Oh, you're in Hawaii. We
can't do business with you. Goodbye."
And I go, "Okay, Kraken. No, no, no.
Dick, you're in Hawaii. Can't do
business." The Binance, "Oh, you're in
Hawaii." And that was in place till
about 2019, 2020.
>> Yeah. In the early days, I had to I had
to like scratch and claw and meet people
privately to buy this stuff. That's
That's unreal.
That sounds like uh Yeah. What does that
remind It reminds me of a story I heard
from somebody.
>> It was like doing drug deals. It was
like It sounds pretty shady, Dick. I got
to admit,
>> there were there was a site and it's no
longer uh it's no longer online called
Local Bitcoins.
>> Yeah.
>> And you'd go on remember local bitcoins?
Yeah.
>> Yep. We'll sell Bitcoin. I am in Hawaii.
I have a fivestar rating. You know, I've
done
>> Yeah. And that's where they pair up
buyers and sellers together. Like they
just pair random.
>> I would I would I would contact them and
and we would arrange and they'd say,
"Okay, Bitcoin 16,000. I'm selling
Bitcoin at 18,000, not negotiable." So,
they were selling way above spot.
>> And then you'd go meet up at a
Starbucks. I did this like five or six
times.
>> Okay.
>> Wow. And And it all came through though.
Nobody Nobody ripped you off.
No. Yeah, it was all Well, I paid higher
than, you know,
>> pay more more premium. Yeah. A premium
for for the Bitcoin at the time.
>> So, when I uh
that was a little dicey because I never
took any profits until 2024, which last
year I did. So, I reported in my taxes
and it was like I had handwritten notes.
>> Yeah.
>> Like that's funny because I paid there's
no way to track that. Like you didn't do
it in a way where they could even trace
it or track it. Really?
>> Local bitcoins doesn't exist anymore.
>> Exactly.
>> There's it's just like you can see that
come into my wallet. But I did pay the
lady like above paid
>> cash. So
>> yeah,
>> now it's all
it's all auditable, but back then was
crazy days.
>> Wild. You know, that's um that reminds
me of um Oh, yeah. Uh yeah. If if you
were to ever get So, this is a question
that I had some people asking on my
channel. If you were to get audited or
if if the IRS came and started asking
questions about where is the source of
your crypto, uh or you know, when did
you buy this? Where did you get what if
and and I don't know the answer to this.
I'm just kind of throwing it out there.
Maybe you might have some idea. Maybe
somebody on your team knows what if you
purchased your your crypto on an
exchange that doesn't exist anymore even
uh like the local bitcoins just just
reminded me of this or if it's an
exchange that used to work in the United
States but now since the legislation has
come in that that exchange no longer is
compatible like Binance let's say
Binance used to be fine in 2017 2018 but
now not in 2025 and they had to do their
subsidiary right
>> no I've got a perfect example okay
here's a here's a true story.
We had a team of remote viewers in
Europe that were looking at coins and
they like which ones are going to go 10x
in the near term and they said this
one's good DTOP DT
O P. Yeah, I think it was DTOP. And so I
said well I I'll I'll I'll throw 10,000
into that or no, I'll I'll throw uh
3,000. So, I bought $3,000 worth of
DETOP. It was an obscure token that I
couldn't get on any of the exchanges or
brokers, but I could get it from a
uh
an exchange in China called Buybox. B I
B O X. And so I
took
$3,000 worth of Litecoin and made a made
a and I converted it over.
>> This I this should have been a warning
sign. The KYC on buy box was like that.
There was very little KYC there. Oh,
>> give us an email. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Like, okay, you're cleared. Okay. So, I
sent them $3,000 worth of Litecoin,
exchanged it for DTOP and I'm I'm
sitting back and my guy that gave me the
tip calls me up a few months later and
says, "Have you looked at DTOP?"
And I go, "No." He goes, "Go look at
it." So, I I log on to buy box and I go
to my wife and go, "Mimi, I bought some
this thing. This is worth $36,000
now. I put $3,000." So it it went really
well. But I'm going go, "Yeah, yeah,
yeah. This is great." And so I go,
"Yeah." And it was right. And I got
looking at other things. And then like
about a month or two after that, I go,
"I better check my and I I went on to
buy box and the exchange didn't exist
anymore.
>> Didn't exist anymore. You 404 page."
Yeah.
>> So yeah, it's a 404. So there's my
How do I account for that one?
>> Right. It's a loss. And that's the other
thing. If you have capital losses, don't
you write that off against your gains?
But then how do you record that?
>> There's no digital record of it.
>> That's the thing, right? Anybody can
think. Yeah, I know. I know. And I guess
this is why, you know, partially why
they want to well, now that it is the
reason why they're regulating it and
they're making it a lot more um
>> legitimized, right? So the institutions
are going to come in and and people can
can track it like they can track their
stocks. And you know, it's this whole
idea of tokenization,
>> you know, tokenizing everything. They're
making crypto like the stock market.
>> Well, it what we did at Future
Forecasting Group was we have a number
of people that have made significant
money and we we're ahead of the curve.
We know that the compliance is going to
be required. So, we were like, what do
we do? How do we do this? So we found an
accountant who's cryptosavvy and he
found uh he's associated with a tracking
company that so you pay them you you put
in your wallet addresses your receive
addresses and he can track that like I
was I said uh I had a MetaMask wallet
where I had a bunch of stuff on
different chains and I gave him my
MetaMask wallet. I said, "I got to find
all this." And he goes, "Oh, we do this
in our sleep." He goes, "I'll have that
all accounted for all the way back to So
all my cryptos are accounted back to
2018 to the first one I bought." So if
the IRS came to me, I could just give
them the print out,
>> right?
>> And right
>> any any So I can sleep at night. I'm
compliant. So that's what you're going
to want to do. And you want to do that
on your own time. and just keep that in
your in your files and hopefully the IRS
never comes and knocking on your door.
If you don't want to what you don't want
to do is take a couple million out and
put it in an LLC and then not report it
and then the IRS gives you a letter
like, "Hey, what about this?" And then
you've got to account for it like, "Oh
my god, I got to You're doing that under
pressure under uh taxes and penalties."
I know two people in the crypto
community that are having IRS trouble. I
know one guy that the they came with
armed agents like
>> they did really well.
>> 6 a.m. knock warrant.
>> Wow.
>> Got your cryptos. Oh, and yeah, I know
another one who's uh didn't report and
they they said uh
they know a lot more than you think they
know.
>> Interesting.
>> That's why you got my accounts are
saying
>> you got to be you got to be open. You
know, if you got to be above board and
like you said, 2026, the year of
compliance. So, I guess we'll all see
how that shapes up and um to be
determined. I guess I guess we're going
to keep hearing more news as it comes.
And of course on my channel, I'll be
reporting on on everything that I hear
uh to help everybody who's in crypto. Um
it's going to be an interesting tax
year.
>> Yeah. Well, here's the good news. If if
XRP goes to 78, $9 or $90, we're going
to make a lot of money. So, you're going
to have to give the the people that run
the game, they get their cut. So give
them their cut and take your profit and
go to sleep at night. This is a chance
for
>> untold wealth. This is this is like
getting in on Microsoft, on Facebook, on
Apple, on Tesla at the ground floor. I
mean, you're going to look back and say,
>> you got XRP for three bucks? Oh my god.
>> Yeah. Yeah. It'll be like saying you got
Tesla for three bucks or Apple.
>> Yep. You know, it's the same idea,
right? It's the future.
